Frequently asked questions
Process, timeline, cost, and getting started.
Every project follows the same three stages: Design, Develop, Deploy. We start by mapping out your goals and your users, then design every screen. From there we build the app for the platforms you choose, test it, and publish it to the App Store and Google Play under our own developer accounts (or set up hosting, for a web app).
Depending on what your app needs to do, that build phase can also include things like:
- A database to store, sync, and secure your app's data
- User accounts, logins, and permission levels
- Push notifications
- Localization for multiple languages or regions
- Payments, subscriptions, or in-app purchases
- Connections to third-party services like maps, calendars, or social logins
- Analytics to see how people are using the app
- Testing across different devices and screen sizes
We scope out which of these apply during the design phase, so nothing gets missed once development starts.
A web app runs in a browser instead of being downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. It works on any device with an internet connection, needs no store approval to launch or update, and can be a great fit on its own or alongside an iOS and Android app.
No. Some clients come to us with a detailed idea already; others just know they want an app for their business but aren't sure what it should include. Either way, the design phase is where we shape that into a concrete feature set together.
That's exactly what this partnership is built for. Since you already have people to bring to the app, we can design around them from day one instead of starting from zero. See the Cost section below for how that shapes what you pay.
More than most people expect. Every project involves:
- UI/UX design for every screen
- Frontend and backend development, including a database to store and sync your data
- Integrations like payments, accounts, push notifications, or other third-party services
- Localization for multiple languages or regions, when needed
- QA testing across devices and screen sizes
- A privacy policy and other compliance requirements
- App Store and Google Play metadata, screenshots, and the submission and review process
- Post-launch monitoring and support
We handle all of it.
Yes. If you already have wireframes, mockups, or a full UI design, we'll build around it and fill in anything that's missing. If you don't have a design yet, that's fine too. Shaping one is part of what we handle.
AI can speed up parts of the process, including for us. But writing code is only one piece of it. Publishing a real app still requires paid developer accounts, App Store and Google Play review, a privacy policy, device testing, and ongoing maintenance. There's no single tool, AI or otherwise, that takes an idea straight to a live listing on both stores.
Almost always, yes. Apple and Google both require a public privacy policy before they'll list an app. We take care of this as part of the process.
Common reasons include incomplete metadata, missing privacy details, crashes or bugs, and features that don't meet platform guidelines. Since we handle submission under our own developer accounts, we build with these requirements in mind from the start.
Most projects take about 4 to 8 weeks from kickoff to launch. Simpler, single-platform apps tend to land toward the shorter end; apps with more screens, platforms, or integrations (like payments or booking) take longer.
The number of features and screens, how many platforms you're launching on (iOS, Android, web, or all three), any integrations you need, and how quickly we get feedback and content back from you along the way.
It depends which path fits you. For an App for Your Business, it's a flat fee or hourly rate based on scope. For an Apply for a Partnership project, if your idea is selected, your marketing and audience could give you a zero development cost, and start earning extra income once the app is live. Exact terms for either path are set out in a contract before any work begins.
An App for Your Business is a straightforward paid project: you know the scope, we quote a flat fee or hourly rate, and you own the outcome for your business. Apply for a Partnership is selective: we review ideas based on audience potential, marketing plan, and revenue opportunity. If selected, your marketing and audience could give you a zero development cost, and start earning extra income.
Yes. We publish and maintain every app under our own Apple and Google developer accounts, along with a post-launch support window, no matter which path you choose.
Head to the Contact page and choose the path that fits: an app for your business, or applying for a partnership. Each has its own form so we get the right details from the start.
To start, just a description of your business or idea, who it's for, and which platforms you're interested in (iOS, Android, web, or all three). Existing branding, logos, or content are helpful but not required. We can help with those too.
Yes. Every project includes a post-launch support window to handle bug fixes and questions after launch. Ongoing updates beyond that window can be arranged separately.
